and deepens its Salesforce program

AMSTERDAM, January 27, 2022 – RefugeeForce wants to create a global movement to help former refugees launch their careers in the Salesforce ecosystem. Dept is aware of the disadvantaged position of newcomers in the Netherlands and sees the talent of this group. Dept is therefore a Recruitment Partner of RefugeeForce, which means that Dept can attract new talent from the program and also supports it financially.

RefugeeForce educates former refugees and helps them start their Salesforce career through personalized programs, with 1-on-1 mentorship, job coaching and network expansion. The foundation aims to change the perception of organizations and the public about the experience and skills that former refugees bring to build a new life in their new homeland. As part of Dept's Good Company vision , the digital agency has entered into an official partnership after working with RefugeeForce for several years. The digital agency is growing strongly in the Salesforce field and the program offers opportunities to bring in additional technical specialists. Caspar Heydendael, lead marketing automation & CRM at Dept:

“We are extremely excited about our official partnership with RefugeeForce. We can't wait to

strengthen our Salesforce team with valuable additions from the program.”

“We are delighted to welcome Dept as an official EU Recruitment Partner,” said Gaspar Rodriguez, Co-Founder of RefugeeForce. “Not only does Dept want to do good, but they are also coming to the table with financial and in-kind support that will enable us to grow the program and reach more former refugees with a distance to the labor market. We love working with ambitious organizations like Dept who want to build diversity and create strong, in-house teams.”

“It's great to see partners investing in the future of the success of our customers and in the future of people in the tech industry,” said Robin de Leeuw, senior manager industries & partners at Salesforce . “Together with RefugeeForce, Dept is working on a fantastic initiative to give people a chance to be successful and build a new life. At Salesforce, we support this immensely and it reflects our core values in how we want to grow talent together with partners.”

Salesforce is a collaborative and supportive community, with everyone willing to help others get a step up in the ecosystem. This is the spirit that Gaspar Rodriguez , Nick Broekema , and Marielle Schweickart wanted to capture when they founded Blue Road Academy (formerly RefugeeForce ) in 2018 – to help un- and under-employed refugees in the Netherlands secure a Salesforce role. Now they have expanded all over Europe, but they still have the same goal: to change the perceptions of employers, organizations, and the general public in terms of the experience and skills that newcomers can bring as they build new lives in their host countries...
